KRISTEN COOPER

KRISTEN COOPER is a conceptual artist, curator, and cultural organizer whose work engages the relationship between art and everyday life through the appropriation of ready-made objects, systems, and situations. Often taking the form of public interventions, her works create encounters that emerge within familiar social and civic contexts, bringing artistic inquiry into daily experience. She received a B.F.A. from the Maryland Institute College of Art and an M.F.A. from the Dutch Art Institute in the Netherlands. Since 2014, she has served as Artistic Director of MING Studios in Boise, Idaho. Since 2019, she has also served as Co-Artistic Director of HUJ:C (HIER & JETZT: CONNECTIONS) in Berlin.
